Animals Cont'd

I have some other ideas for the HBO Harry Potter series:

For a scene across any of the seasons where the action takes place in or around the Dursley's neighborhood, have someone walk through the scene walking a Jack Russell Terrier (for those of you who don't know, Ron's Patronus is a Jack Russell terrier- this would be a nice in-joke referencing that). 

There could be a Swan that has a home on the lake at Hogwarts (Cho Chang's patronus is a swan). 

During the ill-fated zoo visit in season one, have one of the habitats that Piers, Harry and the Dursleys walk past (with Piers and the Dursley's being clearly uninterested) be a Sea Otter habitat (Hermione's Patronus is a Sea Otter).
*Actually, now that I think about it, the Jack Russell terrier and Sea Otter cameos can both happen during the zoo visit- Harry can stop to pet the terrier and then, a scene or two later, stop to watch the sea otters for a minute. This references the order in which he befriended Ron and Hermione in the books. 

The forests that the Hogwarts Express passes on the way to Hogwarts during any of the seasons can have multiple animal cameos- a Hare, for instance (Luna Lovegood's patronus), or a Doe and a Stag (Lily's and James' respective patronuses), or even a Boar (Ernie Macmillan's patronus).

Potential Non-Arrowverse Crossover Idea

Borrowing from the 5th Wave movie, a really cool potential idea would be an hourlong special ( potentially from 9p Eastern to 10p Eastern one night? Maybe?) detailing the alien ship from that film passing over the various states in the U.S. This would be a BEHEMOTH ship, as the width would easily be the length from the Canada-Washington border to the very southern tip of California.  9p-9:20p- My idea would have it first move over Los Angeles ( 9-1-1 ) and Seattle ( Grey's Anatomy and Station 19 ) simultaneously.  9:20p-9:40p- Next, Texas would see it, which would bring 9-1-1: Lone Star into the mix.  And the final twenty minutes of the hour would see the Chicago trio (Fire, Med and P.D.) see the ship pass over Illinois.  I just had this idea last night and it might be super complicated but also super cool to pull off, as it would need the cooperation of seven different writers' rooms and also potentially three different TV networks (see below): 9p-9:20p: 9-1-1 ...

Thoughts on the Mysterious Benedict Society- Episodes 1 and 2

Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi deserve a ton of credit for writing Sticky's first scene in the pilot episode. In this brief clip, he gets a prize-money check but his parents take it away immediately. This, of course, is a reference to his backstory from the first book where his parents- after his increasing quiz show success- become more focused on the prizes he brings home than on his well-being. Episode 2 features a brief but very well-written moment courtesy of the same duo that beautifully captures Martina Crowe's personality, where she glares around the classroom and causes her fellow students to lower their raised hands. This is very much in keeping with Martina's "don't cross me" book personality.
